Knight Power

Overview

Knight Power is a stat possessed by knights which is separate from normal knight attributes, and is used to determine "damage dealt" in certain minigames/events:

  • Pirate Invasion

  • Hunting Grounds

  • Outpost Bosses

  • Alliance Dragon Bounty

  • War of Conquest

  • Scarlet Beauty (event)

  • School of Athens (event)

  • Nibelungen Treasure (event)

The total "damage dealt" as Knight Power in these cases translates into whether a boss is successfully defeated, or the number of tiered enemies defeated to win rewards.

Except for War of Conquest, where Knight Power contributes only a portion of "Conquest Power" (with the bulk of Conquest Power coming directly from type-specific talent levels), the other uses of Knight Power all depend on the sum total of knight power across all knights rather than needing a single knight with maximum knight power.

In a nutshell, Knight Power is best optimized by concentrating knight level/talent into one or a small number of knights, while Strength Book Bonuses (not to be confused with edicts, which are for talent) should be spread evenly across all knights.

Knight Power Equation

Knight Power is calculated as a function of Knight Level, Strength Talent, and Strength Book Bonus, scaling linearly with Knight Level and Strength Talent, and with the square root of Strength Book Bonus.

Importantly, and perhaps counterintuitively, despite the in-game description of knight power, Knight Power does not factor in total strength attributes or aura/lover/decor/negotiation bonuses. In other words, aura/lover/decor/negotiation upgrades do not improve knight power at all, except in cases where they increase strength talent directly.

Secondly, the knight power contributions of Strength Book Bonuses are fully independent from knight level and talent, while providing diminishing returns when strength book bonuses are already present. This means if two knights both have no strength book bonuses, even if one knight is 100+ knight/talent levels above the other, giving a strength book to each knight will yield the exact same total increase in knight power.
